what i wore: craft fairs & travel

This past week team Robo Roku drove out to Los Angeles, CA from Austin, TX to set up at Renegade Craft Fair. My show “uniform” usually consists of a dress or skirt. For the first day I wore a blue J Crew dress I got this past spring, well, I started the day wearing that anyway. I took some Instagram photos to share with you. Here’s a pic of me carrying a backpack, sling bag, and purse from the vendor parking lot to our booth.

It was super hot. I forgot summers in L.A. can be brutal, so brutal that I ate several Front Porch Pops to try to cool down. Sadly, the first one I ate dripped on my tank and I had to change on site. By “on site” I mean I crawled under my checkout table and took off my tank and the shoulders to my dress, threw on one of our TCL tees, and turned my dress into a skirt. Have you ever been in a situation like that? EEK!

On the way home I wanted to wear one of my favorite skirts and tees that are both pretty comfy. It was a good outfit to accompany my excitement to get back home. Here are some Instagrams from the hotel of my outfit.

The one thing I don’t like about road trips is that it’s hard to eat healthy. I often end up eating McDonald’s which I never eat. I was happy to stumble upon something that tasted pretty good, and would be healthier than anything else they offer (I think). It was especially nice to learn that this new found item on the menu, of delicious oatmeal is offered all day. I’m not a fan of raisins, so I just ate around them. hee hee.

what i wore: miami vacation

Hello TCL readers! Roxy here, and I am currently visiting my family in Miami, Florida. My stay has been extremely relaxing, which is just what I needed. I have been reading and finishing books, taking photographs, drinking delicious coffee, eating delicious food, and spending some much needed time with my grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Also? Shopping.

My uncle runs a boutique of sorts [hence the "uncle's shop" label on past "What I Wore" posts], so I am always stocking up on his latest items. And one of my cousins takes me to many a mall, as well. Many a mall. All together, past visits and current, I believe I have seen about 6 malls here. ha! Anyway, I recently purchased this Francesca’s Collections dress for a mere $6.00! It was a pretty amazing sale. :)

Most people come to Miami and spend their days on the beach. While I do spend some time near the ocean, I mostly just enjoy hanging out with my family. Whether it’s breakfast, grocery shopping, a celebratory dinner, or shopping. :) My visits are a lot more chill than what people expect a trip to Miami to be. And I don’t mind one bit.

what i wore: family time

Hello TCL readers! Tis I, Roxy! ;-)
I hope everyone is staying cool this summer. This past Sunday was spent at my parents’ house, celebrating Father’s Day. One of my favorite things is hanging out at my parents’ house. It must come with age. :)

My dad is always working on one project or another, and my mom is usually cooking or making some delicious Cuban coffee. Or my dad is out of town and I come over to keep my mom company and we watch TV/nap on the couch. See why I enjoy these times? :)

Today I am sporting a very airy dress and belt from Francesca’s Collections.
[Coupon code "GRR" gets you 30% off!]
Shoes: From my trip to Greece a couple years back.
Necklace: Reigruche Studio
Ring: My mom’s – from our time in Saudi Arabia
